Well, here we are in lovely luang prabang the second largest “city” in laos. Not big enough for a traffic light though. they say there are 2 in vientiane the capital. What they do have, however, is cheese – the first we have seen since oz! yum.
We left nong khiow on a little road heading eastthrough more killer climbs and lovely decscents. More jungle and hilltribe villages. Camped a few nights, once in a school once on the grass verge right on the road and once near a hot spring. All very chilly but very nice. We also went with 2 other cyclists, the first we have met, and shared a few noodles while all the village kids looked on! There were about 40 waiting when I poked my head out of the tent in the morning.
Now relaxing in Luang Prabang, and mainly eating…..baguettes, cheese, ice-cream – anything but noodles for the moment and enjoying the amazing architecture
