The maps in China aren’t that easy to use was the first thing we realised as we tried to find our way around the free city map offered to us at Shanghai airport. Other than in the metro, everything was in Chinese characters only. We found a nice Chinese man to circle a couple of key points on there so that we could get back to the airport and off we set at 430kms per hour on a levitating train! We got off the metro at the other end expecting to be amazed by our very first Asian city experience only to be met with Zara, Mango and even Decathlon! But that is first glance only and a couple of streets away we found fish hanging up to dry with the socks and other such wierd and wonderful sights…
