Our gulf coast cycle ended at Chumphon because all reports were that paradise beaches gave way to muddy marsh and sand flies. We decided not to subject Aran to a grueling 2 day trailer ride though the hilly inland route and hopped on a bus to the Andaman Sea coast at the Myanmar border. We thought we would spend a few days on the island of Kho Phayam where we are now. It is a true tropical paradise made all the nicer after being in Ranong on the mainland…a true hellhole of open sewers and horrible stenches.
Aran loved the speedboat as you can see in the pic!
